Slow Sundays...1!

This is what Ry does on Sundays.
Slack, and watch anime. Srsly. I got myself the L4D2 offer on Steam for Mac, thanks a lot to my cousin, Chris(I owe him 8 bucks now. xD)

(K-On Rocks, btw, that's the anime series of the gals up there. <3)

Sundays are always so damn slow, and I tend to stay in bed and wonder about random-ass things.
So, I woke up got a random book from my shelf and read.
I picked up one of my Roald Dahl young adult stories. "The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar and 6 More."
Yeahhhh, I skipped to Henry Sugar. One of my favourite stories.

SO, I'm wondering aloud la. What the hell would happen to your perception when you shut down 1 or more of your physical senses.
Of course, there's the obvious answer, but I was thinking of an experiment. Can a person with perfectly normal senses, survive a day without 1 of their senses? Technically, yes. Physically, it's possible.
Now, what about mentally? They're sure to get irritated, know what I mean?

Sight

Close your eyes for just 1 hour. Close them, stay awake, and use your other senses to navigate around your house. Pretty OKAY, right? I mean, you're moving via memory. Now, imagine if you move around with no memory.

Speech and Hearing.

Now, just try to live a day, without talking a single word at all. Willingly or otherwise.
It's actually more doable than losing the other senses, right?
Not really. Imagine doing this for the rest of your life. Pretty hard. It's frustrating. Your senses all can perceive. All your "input" functions are working, but your "output" function isn't.
Losing speech usually goes hand-in-hand with hearing.

Losing hearing would be one of the more painful ones too.
Imagine life without music, without audio input.

The point I'm making with this whole post, would be that losing any one of your senses would be rather...suck.
I'm of course, describing the bare-minimum of the feeling.
The reason I'm suddenly thinking about losing of senses, would be 'cause Abby, a close close friend of Sharon and myself, is learning sign language.

Kudos to you, of course, Abby.

So, next time you say that it sucks to live your life, or next time you say that life isn't worth living.
Remember that Blind people are still living. They have one less sensory input, but they're still living. They love life and all that it involves. So don't think your life sucks.

Maybe it does, I don't know, but point is, there're worst cases out there. Alright? *hug*

YES, that's a virtual hug to anyone out there! :)

Photo-Sorting.

And so, you're prolly wondering what Shar and I've been up to this whole week!

I've been sorting photos and photos, and printing a hugeeeee batch of them.
Check out the STACK SIZE.
(On hindsight, should have totally done a size-comparison in thickness between my Macbook and the Stack of Photos...)
Today was supposed to kinda be a day where Shar, Abby, Farah and I get together to do the scrapbook up... BUT, we all had prior commitments and stuff and stuff to study and do...(School sucks to the max, I know.)
So,  I spent the whole of the night sorting the photos!
You're prolly wondering how the HELL do I have so many damn pictures to sort. Last count, 120 Pictures, all encompassing parts and bits and fragments of memorable pictures taken in 2010. SO, I sorted DAMN neatly on my desk...

Yeahhhhhh Sorta neatly at least. DON'T JUDGE ME.
Then I decided to just fuck it, and took a good picture of each of the 10 original Tablers, and place them nicely:)
Took me a whole half hour to cut the paper and decorate and add wordings.etc...but check them out:
NOT BAD RIGHT.
I know. EAT YOUR HEART OUT, SHAR.

So anyway, That was when I decided to play with ALL the damn photos.
Somewhere, someone just went "WOAHH."

Yeah. 120 pictures can stretch out rather far. xD
And finally, I decided that I had enough for the night, wanted to pack up, then continue it with the others around...

Pretty funky little art experiment:)

If you guys want to do something similar to recap your 2010, go for it. I encourage it:)
Now, one little thing I would like to point out: Do not hold back or suppress your own memories. Be honest, and include pictures of things you don't really wish to remember. Good, Bad? It doesn't really matter in a scrapbook. It's memories.

The more you try to run from them, instead of embracing it as reality... The more destruction it does in the long run.
I have very very strong beliefs when it comes to my scrapbooks. And one of these, are to at least have a picture or two of things that even I want to forget about 2010. Any exes or what? It's a recap of 2010 for me, and not a recap of "good" 2010.

So, that's my opinion on matters.

Well, well. What do we have here

Hola!
Well, well, what do we have here? It's the start of something new within the Recess Table and like what Ry have said, it'll be just between the both of us, for now. Perhaps along the way there'll be new and more interesting people joining in this project, and although we might not be some huge popular kickass crew, but it'll be some of the things that might interest you a little here and there!

It'll be our very first few tryouts, so please be lenient to our mistakes and stuffs!
But we're sure it'll be a fun and cool journey for our project, so please stay tuned and do checkout for new updates!
Oh, and I'm the cooler one - SHARON and I'll be touching more on fashion and hangout places!
Ciao soon enough I'm sure! :)

And so I say hi:)

First poster here?
Quite naturally.

Ry here, and this blog's intended to be a partnership between one of my best friends in the world, Sharon, and myself... and also a place where either one of us can blog and keep friends up to date.

For now, it's going to be just the two of us, and we're going to work together on this, hopefully we can rope in the others.

Also, a place where we review many many random things. From fashion, to hangout places, to restaurants, to food, to videogames(don't expect anything too recent. I'm a retro-gamer!).
Quite naturally, I'll take care mainly on the otaku-side of things, and Shar on the hangout places and fashion.

So, yep! :)
