Point is, with a girlfriend, more often than not, you'll have to take care of how you look to her. She's your sweet heart, and your darling and stuff, and you have to admit. Instead of waking up to...

"AHHHH, FUG IT. I'll wear Shirt and Jeans."

You'll wake up to...

"I'll wear Shirt and Jeans...but dear said the jeans makes me look fat...and she doesn't like me to wear my 'Sex Pistols' shirt when I'm with her..."

OF COURSE. This isn't ALWAYS the case, but damn, you know it to be true. The way you look at yourself is different, now that there's someone there to look at you the same way as you look at yourself. (Wrap your head around that! :D )

SO, BEING SINGLE is GOOD. You get to keep your own personal comfort level. 

2nd Reason: Old friendships.

As I was saying. When you're in a committed relationship, one might have to "give up" certain friendships, or at least certain barriers will need to be erected. I won't be able to hug my gal-friends as freely as I do Pandi.

Hell, my close friend Roslina, just got into a relationship, and before her relationship gets stronger, I doubt I'll be able to hug her as I used to.

I'm not SAYING that all relationships are the same. I'm just saying, before you hug your friends again, you have to get things straight between Man and Girlfriend, non?

Being single is awesome, because I'm truly free. Yeah, I have closer friends, and less close friends.

I'm single, and ready to mingle, and I choose to be the "anytime" kind of friend. The pillar of support within the clique. When all else fails, call Ry, because he's single.

You might think it's a little unorthadox. No one man can understand all the pain and suffering of another. True enough.

Let me share a quote from Children of The Mind, by Orson Scott Card:

"Wang-mu," he(Peter) said, "At last I found my hiding place."

His hand reached up and touched her cheek, and his eyes looked into her eyes with a kind of wonder.

I'm single, and I don't really have to care about a second half. I don't have a girlfriend I have to keep as safe as possible, and the only ties I have as of now, is my blood family. And right now, the closest people in my family, would be my parents, my sister, my god parents.

My cousins, aunts and uncles, fine.

Except: What use am I to them? They lead their own lives. I am important in their lives, but they have to care about their own lives.

Right now, all I wish to do, is be strong enough to stand with my friends when they need me most.

You have to admit, being single allows greater ease. When Shar and I were still new into our friendship, I could wake up to her call at 2 am, without any qualms. I didn't have a girlfriend, so no one would care, or be suspicious.

Whenever Far is feeling really downtrodden, at 3 am, I'll be there to reply her text.

Whenever Theong needs a STEAM L4D partner, I'm there.

There's really no denying that being single gives you more freedom, non?

3rd Reason: Being able to be selfish.

Individuality. 

In a relationship, you have to understand two big concepts:

-You're in a relationship.

-You, are no longer YOU. You, are now a WE.

You've got to understand the concept that you have to think about you and her.

Being in a relationship, is a huge responsibility, and if not for that other person, you'll say it's troublesome. It's one of the best feelings in the world, and one of the worst feelings in the world, simultaneously. You have to think of what happens if this happens to you.

Like, take for example. Ezza and Iqbal. Close friends of mine( I won't say SUPER CLOSE, but close enough to give a warm hug when I see either of them in the hallways of RP. =D). They're a very very close couple, and they've been going strong over the years.

Iqbal suffered a very very scary injury, and I remember Ezza's tweets and facebook updates, about how scared she was.

In a relationship, you have to take care of yourself, or else your partner worries!

You have to be careful.

When you're single, only your close friends and family would care or know. 

So, it's pretty much, the individuality thing.

I don't have anything else MUCH to say, so that's all for now!

How to be awesome during Christmas-The Single Bro's Guide :)

So now it's my turn to shine 8)

I'm bloody ridiculously bored, so here's a random post.

STEP 1: Start with a relatively-OKAY look. T-Shirt, Jeans, Glasses.
Looks like I'm set? 8)
You might wanna shower first. Maybe use some OLD SPICE.
(Smell like a man, man.)

STEP 2: Wear a blazer. And jeans.

If you don't have a blazer, substitute with an outer shirt, or get one.

Why a T-Shirt with a blazer, you ask? Simple.
Experts have shown, that the T-Shirt with outer Shirt/Blazer look works on about 99.9% of all women at random christmas parties that you may or may not be going to.

They like the fact and the way you look, because you look stylishly suave, yet kiddish enough, to not be over-matured:)
The shirt inside, showss that you're conservative enough to keep your emotions in, and not to reveal it to people you're not close to,
The outer shirt/blazer, shows that you're single and well adjusted enough, to mingle and make...friends.

True Story 8)

STEP 3: Have an equally cute bro.

In terms of genetic gifts, you need to be able to have a bro, who is described by at least 7 of you 10 female friends, to be "kinda cute".
Distract him with a comic, and head out to steal those chicks who describe him as "kinda cute".
HAHA, Theong. xD

Of course, you have to do this with his permission. Don't piss him off by not getting him any Christmas Poon in return.

REMEMBER, KIDS. CHRISTMAS IS ABOUT GIVING, SHARING, and getting that cute chick's number 8)

BONUS STEP: Make use of any and all gifts and little quirks you can, to give the more "Christmas" Vibe out to any unsuspecting females.

Like for example, you have braces? CHANGE THE DAMN COLOURS BEFORE CHRISTMAS.
I GOT MINE INTO RED AND GREEN.
Do that, and you will be like a boss.

Or if you usually wear bandanas, ala my team mate, Naif? CHANGE THE BANDANA TO A RED AND GREEN ONE.

Or what have you. What counts, is the advantage.

Today's a lazy saturday! And of course someone lazy like me(truth), wake up... eat and then take photos. (HEHE) I'm kind of happy that my mum's starting to appreciate my DSLR and not thinking it's a waste of money anymore.

And she's getting.... a bit... too much... cause she's starting to pose for me when I attempt to take photos of her. Cause she usually DON'T.

The pepper crab really damn nice!!!!! My mum told me it's called "HUA XIE" in chinese. Direct translation: Flower Crab (lol don't know whether it's really called flower crab) -.-. And we also had lady fingers!!!!! SUPER NICE. Although I just ate them.. I'm still drooling even when I'm looking at the pictures sia.

No joke!!! I recommend this stall. It's @ BoonLay Market place, the seafood stall facing the carpark, the row along the POWER NASI LEMAK. Oh, the nasi lemak also very nice (Y) Thank God I'm no longer so pui like last time already. Living here can be quite tough cause ALL THE TEMPTATION HERE LEH WALAO !@#$%^&*

But too bad, I'm a girl. Very vain and self-conscious. So.... sometimes eating these food. NEVERMIND LA.... (Self-console) Anyway, I guess this post is the start to MANY MANY post I'm gonna do about all the food in Singapore!

I'm actually starting to exercise.
So, I asked and got for my birthday present from my parents: Sports Stuff.
This is the plastic bag I got from Nike. Damn nice design, in my opinion:)

So, first thing I got was a new T-shirt. Dri-fit(or Dry-fit? Dunno which spelling, can't be assed to check.)
It's a simple shirt, and it's really good quality.

Then, I got myself jogging shorts. Or running shorts. My sister told me to get FBT shorts, but I look gay in them, So. NO! xD

THen, I got myself shoes. These are damn good sia. Can't wait to try them out. (No, there isn't any lights on it or what. it's just the flash. xD)

I can't believe that I'm starting to work out. Omg.

Men VS Women.

Since my darling partner wishes to partake in the age old gender-conflict. It's time I replied.
No matter how reluctant I am, I have my personal views on the gender conflict too, ya know! :D

Anyway, let's start off by first examining history.

Men are usually perceived as the providers of the family, the classic view of "being a man" means to be able to pay the bills. The classic view that Daddy's supposed to be macho and the emotionally stable one in the family, compared to your Mom.
The classic view that "My Dad can beat up yours."
(Incidentally, I look like a wimp, but my Dad can srsly beat up yours. He's stocky, but the old bastard's like a Chuck Norris. He came out of a coma within a week, recovered any physical damage within a month, made a full recovery mentally and physically within 2 months. True story.)
Males are raised, with that very stereotypical view, that they are meant to do "manly" things. And any male who partakes in the finer things in life, would be called 'gay' or a 'fag'.

It's tough being a man, because accepting that you like the finer things in life...
It's tough to accept that you prefer the more feminine things in life.
Like for example, a close friend of mine, Gucci.

He is a good friend of mine, and I have to admit I haven't seen him in quite a while.
However, he was one of the fags(LOLOL) back in Secondary School who would rip on me for being in a mostly girls clique.
As time went on, he started to respect me a bit, and we became close friends.

Gucci suffered from the classic "macho" mantra, and at that time, he was really stuck into the whole male bros thing.
The reason why I suddenly point out old Gucci? Gucci had problems accepting that he has an emotional and a more "feminine" side, until I helped him. I was a close confidante regarding a relationship problem of his, and I wasn't much help, but through that whole confiding session and all, I became closer to him as a friend, and I saw how difficult this "macho" facade really is to pull off and sustain.


And my own personal experiences?

HAHAHAHAHA.
I've never subscribed to the whole macho thing. I've never ever been a tough guy. I've never been a sports guy, save for aquatic sports and for swordsmanship.
I've always been a bit on the geek side, and for a while, my parents speculated that I might have been gay. xD
Of course, with my horny disposition? I wasn't.


Let me just give you a bit of background info:
My family is made up of 65% Females. I was born into a family of cousins, aunts, uncle, and grandma, and I was mostly raised by them. Them, being my Maternal side. I'm closer to my maternal side than my paternal side(of course, not saying that they aren't close to me la.) and I've always been raised to respect Women, and never to beat a girl up, and stuff like that.

It was because of my maternal family, that I've gotten more used to female company than male company, and I look at myself as an authority to dealing with the pressures of being a girl's BFF.

Women are more emotionally expressive, and sometimes it's scary.

For example, just 2 days back, I was afraid that Farah was pissed at me, so I took the time, and picked her up from her night classes, with a Peace-making gift and a hug ready. I was srsly scared she was pissed. Especially with Farah's Legendary PMS.

BUT.
I liken myself to an exception to Sharon's ranting.

I listen to my female friends rant, and I hug them when they're down. I crush on some of them, and I understand that they have a tough time having PMS and stuff.
So much so, that I think I'm able to survive their Pregnancy-Moods for 9 months if need be. 8)

This is my point: Males have it tough too. In different ways and methods, compared to Women. We both have it tough, but as long as both sides understand and love each other for everything they will be put through, and are going through?

It doesn't really matter anymore:)

FUCK. My wrist bruised because of someone at training last Wed(not necessarily Jet.) and I suspect either Jet or Val was behind it.

WOMEN VS MEN

Yes. What I am going to blog to today is about WOMAN VS MAN. I was on my way home from work and I suddenly felt that being a woman nowadays is so fucking tough. I KNOW guys out there might be so freaking pissed with my post that they feel like sending viruses to my computer now but seriously? You've never been a woman so YEAH. 


Let's see how many reasons I can think of why it's tough to be woman.


1. We are seen as weaklings
2. We have fucking periods to clear off the freaking blood every single month.
3. We're gonna give birth and giving through natural birth means might have to cut off one part of our vagina. ( WHAT THE FUCK)
4. We have to go through 9 months of hardship to give birth to our kids.


AND WHAT DO GUYS DO BOUT IT? ...... I know we, WOMEN, have pms and stuffs, and sometimes we go over the limit and especially pregnant women? ( You get what I mean )
But then again you guys will never know how it feels like to go through all the pain and labour. 
If you think army is HARD AND KILLS EVERY PART OF YOUR BODY. Then hello? We're carrying a human in our body for MONTHS. 24/7. 


We are expected to be good students, good worker or boss, good girlfriend or wife, good daughter or mother, we are expected to be able to cook, wash and clean, expected to be able to cope with studies, expected to lighten housework load at home. 


We are not SUPER HERO. And you know what? We don't feel good going through all the damn shitty times like having period, we feel more tired than usual, we have to try our best to control our moodswings and then we also are expected to be good in so many ways.


WHAT THE FUCK.


And then again. Who can we blame? No one. 


Everywhere, every place and every country. EVERY. Always portray beautiful and attractive females as: SEXY, PRETTY, PERFECT FEATURES. And what are the rest of the women? Sometimes, we are seen as nothing. We were all born equal, and we should all be treated equally be it whether we are FEMALE or MALE. But why is it that the starting pay for army guys are higher than girls? LOOK. It doesn't mean we never go through army means we have a more relaxing life than guys. AND it doesn't mean their hardship is more than ours.


A fine good example is my mum. She's a woman. JUST A WOMAN.


She's expected to do all the housework, expected to pay ALL THE FUCKING bills, expected to raise me and my sister up, expected to be technically, A SUPERWOMAN.
But she's not. She's practically limping every step she makes now, yet she still wakes up so early to take care of me, the house, herself. She don't get enough sleep and what my father does - NOTHING. She don't get a loving husband. And if I can't be a good student, or I can't do well in studies. 


My relatives is going to blame her for not taking good care of me, not supervising me well.
But hello, she's a woman.
AND WE WOMEN, we are physically not as strong as men.


It's never easy to be a woman. We were born in this world, that expects us, to be what we can't be sometimes. And telling us shit like : JUST BE YOURSELF, always shows how fake are people be because, it's always the opposite. 


FUCK YOU all men that think being men is tough and being women is easy, because we're not just any creatures.


We're NEVER in ANY way inferior.


If we're not beautiful on the outside, it doesn't mean we're NOTHING or we don't deserve to be love, because deep down we struggle even more than anybody else just to do as much as we can. 


And even though we might not perfect features or flawless skin, we try.


And everyday, SO SO SO many women gets heartbroken because why? So many men does not feel what we feel, and don't understand what we have to go through.

If it's tough being a man, it's tougher being a woman.

but at this moment when I take photos, I feel that what I feel now will be a past. It'll be part of my tomorrow's growth.

So if any of you feel down, take a picture.

Take down what made you sad, feeling emotional.

Delete the photo.

Delete away all the pain, all the sadness.

Cause tomorrow you will find the strength to take beautiful photos, what you keep, like all photos you love, are beautiful and happy.

What you delete, is what you dislike.

So apply in your life.
