Finally, it's happened. It's online, it's now, and it's HERE.
Before I start off, I want to just shout out to my close friend, Su Gi "Transparent Doors" Chandran.
HAHAHA.
Cheers, Sue:)
Anyway, onto the sweets Post.
The whole buncha kit kats:D
Now, you see. Back in December, Sue took a trip to Japan with her school, and knowing that I was an awesome Pokemon Kaki?
Sue asked what I wanted for Christmas.
I really couldn't think of anything. SRSLY. So I researched online.
AND, I found out from Cracked.com that Kitkats were a craze over a Japan. Ever since they were introduced. So I gave her vair specific instructions:
"Sue, just buy me any kitkats with weird ass flavours. I'll pay you for them."
Sue was all..."O_o? Okay!"
And over the days of her journey, I was pretty excited for it:)
And when she got back from her trip, she asked.
"Ry, why the hell do you even want weird-ass flavoured kitkats?"
So I told her about the blogpost, and I promised that by the time Shar's free, I'll have the blogpost up.
Now, due to our hiatus in December, 'twas no go.
Then, in Jan, I was studying and chionging for my final exams in late Feb. Shar? was busy working over the Chinese New Year Period.
Jan and early Feb was no go.
And well, at least now it's here:)
OKAY, so anyway.
Shar and I finally set a date in the 2nd week of Feb to do the pictures and the tasting at her place. And also, the first time in nearly a month that we've seen each other.
Among the kitkats, there was also the meat flavoured gumdrops, Mint M&Ms, and the Phallic Symbols.
So, we decided to get down to business and start with something easy...
That there's Shar and the Dark Chocolate ones.
They seemed the least intimidating among the others, so we tried that first.
-TASTE TEST-
Ry's and Shar's judgement:
-Perfect way to start off the review with something awesome. It was sweet, creamy, and tastes just like dark chocolate(haha. gee, ya think?)
-It isn't the bitter style of chocolate that I like. Those heavy in cocoa? Not this one, but still pleasant.
-Especially considering what else we'll be putting into our mouths......
Next up, Green Tea kitkats.
-TASTE TEST-
Ry's judgement:
-And so, we start with the "weird" flavours with Green Tea flavoured Kitkats.
How do they taste? I don't like it.
They taste like Japanese green tea mixed in with white chocolate. And the green tea taste is REALLY REALLY STRONG. I don't mind green tea, but when we tried this, I muttered to Shar:
"Green tea should stay DA FUQ out of my sweets!"
Shar's judgement:
-Tastes rather good.
-The green tea flavour is pretty good. Thing is, it somehow melts faster than the others...
NEXT UP!
Now, wait for it...
WAIT FOR IT...
Look at my face. Look at that skeptical face.
Do you know what this is?
You don't?
These are kitkats. 2 bars of kitkats.
1 bar flavoured like COKE. And another flavoured like LEMONADE.(Lemon Squash? No idea.)
SRSLY.
-TASTE TEST-
Ry's judgement:
-Now, I want you to take note of one thing LOOK AT THE COLOUR OF THE BAR. IN MY HANDS. It's like a faded brown colour, right? xD
-It ACTUALLY SMELLS LIKE COKE. THE MOMENT I OPENED THE PACKET, SHAR AND I SMELT IT.
It SMELLS like Coke. Srsly.
-It tastes like bubble gum, in my opinion.
-This is PROOF of the wacky Japanese. OTL
Shar's judgement:
-Tastes like bubblegum, coke and root beer. and chocolate.
It's like...Bubblegum, then Coke. Then Root Beer, then Chocolate.
As for the Lemon Squash Kitkat?
I think that Shar and my reactions in the picture is enough. xD
Ry's and Shar's judgement:
-THE bloody thing was SOUR. DAMN SOUR.
-Worst thing was that it lured us it, with it's scent. It smelt beautiful, like some lemon biscuit. BUT NO. IT TASTED SO SOUR.
Not. Kidding. Here.
Sadly, it didn't melt in hot water. making it a sweet.
So, Shar took another from the tin, and gave it a lick.
According to her, it tasted extremely saltish.
And well, I took her word for it. xD
Other sweets not reviewed, would be the Phallic Symbols snack(which are just biscuits with sugar...) and the M&Ms, which are essentially Crunchy M&Ms with Mint.
So, that was our adventure with Sue's sweets:D
